Keto gummies can make a huge difference to the success of your keto diet. We’ve scoured the market for the best keto gummies for weight loss, to get your body responding to ketosis at pace and in comfort.

The ketogenic diet has a lot going for it. The potential benefits on offer can be life-changing for some. It’s potentially one of the best diets going for sustaining a healthy body composition – less fat, more muscle, to put it simply.

However, the side effects, especially in the early days (the first couple of weeks, typically) can be debilitating for others.

Keto gummies can help a great deal. They can help you to get into ketosis faster, maintain it more easily, and offset some of the worse symptoms. And, happily, I recently got the opportunity to review a batch of some of the best keto gummies on the market.

Quick Verdict: Our No.1 Keto Gummies

I would go with UCHEWS Body & Detox gummies.

They tick every box and do an admirable job of supporting everything that needs supporting as you head into ketosis (though a separate exogenous BHB source is probably a good idea to take in tandem with it).

UCHEWS Body + Detox gummies give you a clever mix of genuinely potent ingredients, including old trusties like apple cider vinegar, Vitamin B12, Vitamin B9, alongside the perhaps more specialist beet and pomegranate juice.

They’re tasty, enjoyable, and useful – everything a keto gummy should be.

top Keto Gummy Picks For Losing Weight

UCHEWS Body & Detox

UCHEWS Body and Detox gummies are perhaps my favorite keto gummy. Each gummy packs a powerful combination of ingredients in a convenient and enjoyable way to bolster your ketogenic diet.

Apple cider vinegar is included here, an ingredient that has been a bit over-hyped in recent years – people were swilling it back at one point, treating it as the next panacea.

It’s good, not great. However, it is useful for those following a ketogenic diet – or, at least, it’s potentially good. You’ll see it occurring time and time again on this list because it’s arguably such a strong choice.

It can help by promoting feelings of satiety, reducing appetite, and improving digestion, all of which play very well into a ketogenic diet. We want satiety and appetite reduction when following a ketogenic diet for weight loss.

Also, as we’ve seen, ketosis can lead to digestive complaints due in large part to a lack of fiber (though high fat levels make up for this a bit). Anything that can improve digestive health is to be celebrated.

Additionally, apple cider vinegar is believed to promote detoxification by supporting liver function and aiding in the removal of toxins from the body. This is where things can get a bit woo-woo.

The B vitamins included are also a great idea.

Vitamin B12 is an essential nutrient that plays a crucial role in maintaining energy levels and supporting a healthy metabolism, both of which are very much needed during the switch to ketosis – and both of which are often reasons people get into the ketogenic diet in the first place.

B12 is responsible for converting food into energy and promoting the proper cell function.

Also known as folate, Vitamin B9 is vital for supporting cell growth, repair, and overall health. It plays a crucial role in DNA synthesis and helps maintain healthy red blood cells.

UCHEWS’ inclusion of it in their formula can mean a great deal when you’re following a ketogenic diet – it can support the body’s growth, repair, and renewal processes, contributing a lot to optimal health and wellbeing (which, again, is probably why they’re looking for ketosis in the first place).

Next up, we have beet juice, which is rich in essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. This is all very good for plugging some gaps in any ketogenic diet, as many of these essential vitamins and minerals, and most antioxidants, will come from plant sources, which are generally carbohydrate heavy (with some exceptions – nuts and avocadoes, plant oils, etc.)

In addition, beet juice contains nitrates that can improve blood flow and oxygen delivery to the muscles, leading to enhanced workout performance and increased endurance.

Pomegranate juice fills a similar role. It is a sweet and tangy superfruit that is renowned for its potent antioxidant properties, which are sorely needed.

Antioxidants help protect the body against oxidative stress, which can be elevated during periods of intense physical activity or metabolic adaptation, such as those living a ketogenic diet. Pomegranate juice is also sweet and tangy naturally, meaning you get a good bit of flavor from it.

This all makes for a very solid recipe. It’s helpful in all the ways we would want from a keto gummy – tasty with benefits to both short- and long-term health, largely tailored towards plugging the gaps left open on a typical ketogenic diet.

The sheer quality of antioxidant protection you get, though – protection which is vital and missing from most ketogenic diets – makes it a winner for me.

Summer Keto ACV Gummies

Summer Keto Gummies

You’ll see a pattern beginning to emerge – similar templates, similar DNA, as all the top keto gummies look to use similar ingredients to achieve similar ends.

This is certainly the case with our next offering, Summer Keto ACV Gummies, which uses apple cider vinegar and B vitamins alongside some other choices to give you the results you want.

As we know, then, apple cider vinegar will aid with promoting feelings of satiety, reducing appetite, and improving digestion, whilst the B vitamins will help to convert stored and dietary energy into usable energy, and will promote growth and cellular health, among other things.

But what of the rest? What else will Summer Keto ACV Gummies give you?

The BHB is a big deal (beta-hydroxybutyrate). It’s a ketone that the body produces during ketosis, and is one of the better alternative fuel sources when carbohydrates are limited, providing energy to the body and brain.

It will essentially power you through starvation (part of the metabolic switch you’ll go through during that initial ‘keto flu’), giving you a ready source of ketones to keep you going no matter how many ketones your body is producing endogenously.

It’s a very good idea to include some form of exogenous ketones as you switch into ketosis, and even potentially thereafter if you still feel you benefit from them. I wouldn’t particularly suggest you take them from gummies.

A separate BHB supplement that uses different sources of BHB would be better, as you can take it regularly, at intervals, leaving the ‘sweet treat’ of taking gummies alone. You won’t rely on your gummies – they will just be a nice addition. However, it’s clever, and will work well here.

Summer Keto ACV Gummies also makes good use of Garcinia Cambogia, a stalwart of the thermogenic weight loss supplement world. It’s a tropical fruit extract that contains hydroxycitric acid (HCA).

In turn, HCA may help to suppress your appetite, whilst also reducing the conversion of carbohydrates into stored fat. This means better hunger management alongside a bit of a boost to your overall weight loss efficacy.

It’s a clever, potent formula, and will do a lot of people a lot of good as they get themselves into ketosis.

Nucentix Keto-GMY BHB Gummies

Nucentix Keto-GMY BHB Gummies bottle with gummies next to it.

We get something a little bit special with Nucentix Keto-GMY BHB Gummies, which are, of course, specially formulated to support you as you follow your ketogenic diet.

With a combination of unique ingredients like Trimax Keto, as well as old trusties like apple cider vinegar, antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, they give you something a bit different.

Well, actually, Trimax Keto isn’t that different. It’s essentially a decent exogenous ketone source, though it is a proprietary blend.

As such, it’s all there to enhance ketosis and fuel the body with an efficient energy source.

By providing the body with a readily available source of ketones, Trimax Keto can help you to reach and maintain a state of ketosis far more effectively, as you should expect. This is simply their riff on ketones – and, honestly, it’s a pretty decent one.

Then there are the ingredients we keep seeing: apple cider vinegar to reduce appetite, promote feelings of fullness, and support healthy digestion, antioxidants to protect the body against oxidative stress (which can be pretty rough on a ketogenic diet), and a solid vitamin and mineral complex.

It’s not earth-shattering stuff, just solid, good ingredients blended into a pretty decent supplement. It should serve plenty of people well.

NTX Keto BHB Gummies

NTX Gummies bottle

NTX Keto BHB Gummies use a pretty clever formula. Again, we see a couple of unique ingredients paired up with some more run-of-the-mill (though incredibly helpful) ingredients.

You get a blend of ingredients like BHB salts and raspberry ketones, alongside green tea extract, and Garcinia Cambogia, which all work synergistically to support you through ketosis.

As we know, BHB salts are crucial elements any healthy ketogenic diet. They help fuel the body with ketones to provide energy when carbohydrates are restricted, promoting fat burning and aiding in the maintenance of a state of ketosis. It’s a good inclusion, then.

It’s even better when we look at the raspberry ketones on offer. Raspberry ketones are extracted from raspberries (as you may have guessed), and are thought to aid in the breakdown of stored fat within the body – exactly what we want as you run through ketosis for fat loss. It’s kind of spot on.

We’ve seen how well green tea works in this kind of supplement – it’s a highly thermogenic ingredient, meaning potentially more calories burned overall, and is also a rich source of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties that help improve overall health.

I always like to see it in any kind of weight loss support supplement. Big win.

Likewise, Garcinia Cambogia, whose benefits for appetite control we’ve already seen.

Garcinia Cambogia can aid satiation whilst also potentially reducing the conversion of carbohydrates into fat (though if you’re following a strict ketogenic diet, this latter benefit should be kind of redundant – you won’t have many carbs to stop being turned into fat!).

Again, then, we have a solid ketosis gummy here. It won’t top many lists, but it’s a trusty stalwart of the middle ranks – BHB and ketones, plus green tea and Garcinia Cambogia… it’s a good mix.

It could do more, of course. Its list is a little lean. But still, it’s decent – it should give you a lot as you get yourself into ketosis.

My Pure Essentials ACV Gummies

My Pure Essentials ACV Gummies bottle

Finally, I want to talk about My Pure Essentials ACV Gummies, which leans heavily on apple cider vinegar (as the AVC in its name suggests) alongside a couple of fruit juices.

This is it – no BHB, no vitamins or minerals… it’s very lean. But it might well be exactly what you need.

Apple cider vinegar is of course there for appetite suppression and digestive support. So far, so good. It should work pretty well.

My Pure Essentials ACV Gummies also blends beet root juice and pomegranate juice for what could be a powerful formula for supporting overall health and wellness.

We’ve seen both beet root juice and pomegranate juice already. They are solid options. Beet root juice is a nutrient-dense superfood that provides a range of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Pomegranate juice is a rich source of antioxidants and polyphenols.

These compounds may support heart health, brain function, and immune system function. All of these can be pretty scarce on any strict keto diet, as they are typically (or, with polyphenols, exclusively) found in plant life, which is almost always carb heavy, and thus unsustainable on a keto diet.

Again, I would like to see some more here. The list is lean, and it wouldn’t have cost them much to add a little more in there.

Nevertheless, simplicity can be elegance – it’s more so here than in plenty of other supplements that I’ve branded ‘lean’. You will get a lot out of taking My Pure Essentials ACV Gummies, plugging plenty of gaps in your diet as well as sating hunger during ketosis.

UCHEWS floating bottle and gummies

There are some really good options here.

However, if you’re serious about getting your ketosis journey just right, optimizing its benefits and minimizing the downsides associated with keto flu and ketosis more broadly, it’s got to be UCHEWS Body and Detox gummies.

It covers almost everything you need covered as you venture through ketosis – though, as above, you might want to consider pairing it with a high-quality exogenous ketone source for the best results.

Its formula blends a really lovely mix of the kinds of powerful, useful, high-quality ingredients that typically show up in keto supplements, all in the form of very nice-tasting gummies for when you need a bit of a sweet pick-me-up.

You get staple ingredients like apple cider vinegar, Vitamin B12, Vitamin B9, alongside beet and pomegranate juice, plus those antioxidants, and polyphenols you need to overcome the nutrient deprivation associated with just eating carbs and fat.

This should mean improved heart health, brain function, and immune system function over what you would expect of a typical keto diet.

It’s good, it tastes nice and is enjoyable to chew on, and is almost perfect for overcoming the downsides associated with ketosis. It gets my vote.

What is ketosis?

Typical keto diet foods on a plate

Ketosis is a metabolic state that the body enters when there is a lack of carbohydrates to use as an immediate source of energy.

When you lack stored glucose, taken from dietary carbohydrates, your body will adapt by breaking down stored fat into molecules called ketones (hence the name, ketosis).

You’ll typically enter in ketosis when in a fasted state, are taking part in long, mid-level physical activity, or when following the kind of ultra-low-carbohydrate, high-fat diet that we’re talking about today – the ketogenic diet.

In a typical diet, our bodies use carbohydrates as their main energy source. We largely run on glucose.

However, when our carbohydrate stores are limited, the body doesn’t just shut down. Rather, it looks elsewhere for energy – it starts to break down fat stores to produce ketones, which are then used by the body as a source of fuel.

Ketones are particularly good for the brain and muscles, which typically thrive on them.

If you follow a ketogenic diet, you’re looking at maintaining ketosis more or less around the clock, indefinitely. This metabolic shift into ketosis can take a few days to several weeks to build and stabilize, during which time you will likely experience several common symptoms.

Colloquially, these symptoms are called keto flu.

Keto flu is characterized by symptoms like fatigue, headache, and irritability as the body adjusts to using ketones for energy. The lack of fiber and plant life as food sources can be rough – constipation and nutrient deficiencies are common, especially in the absence of supplementation.

It’s a good idea to approach ketosis and the ketogenic diet with caution. Firstly, it’s very challenging, both because of those symptoms and because it is simply hard to stick to.

It’s very limited – no pasta, bread, sugar, fruit, limited vegetables… It takes a full dietary overhaul to achieve and will likely leave out many of your favorite foods.

This may get easier with time, or it may not – it may be that in trying to elicit ketosis in the long term, you’re facing a lifetime battle against your own instincts for nutrient selection.

Your suitability for longer-term ketosis is also highly individual. It is well-documented for its health benefits (see below) and is touted by many as a bit of a cure-all, magic bullet-type set-up.

However, it’s not right for everyone. I’ve personally never done well on it, suffering side effects without end.

Those suffering with certain medical conditions, such as pancreatitis, liver disease, or gallbladder issues, may need to avoid high-fat diets and should consult with a healthcare professional before attempting a ketogenic diet.

This aside, there are some tremendous potential benefits to be gained if ketosis is right for you.

Potential Health Benefits of Ketosis

Why would you put yourself through all of this – why would you go through keto flu and cut so many fantastic foods out of your diet? Well, quite frankly, for some people ketosis can be phenomenal. The benefits can be staggering.

Firstly, once your body adjusts, it can make you feel fantastic – clearer-headed, more energetic, happier, calmer.

This can be especially the case for those suffering with any kind of carbohydrate-based food allergies – gluten intolerances, polyphenol intolerances, and the like – which can completely disappear when carbohydrates are taken out of the equation.

You’re generally looking at fifty grams or fewer of carbohydrates daily to achieve ketosis, which is tiny, meaning that you really won’t be eating any of these triggering foods.

And, of course, it can be a potent weight loss tool, helping you to shed body fat and, thereafter, remain lean if you stick to ketosis. By relying on fat stores for energy, those achieving a state of ketosis will see their stores torn through quite quickly.

You may also experience reduced appetite, and will struggle to go into a calorie surplus on such a limited range of foods, making it far easier to build a calorie deficit into your diet.

Additionally, ketosis has been associated with improved blood sugar control and insulin sensitivity, as it minimizes carbohydrate intake, which typically spikes blood sugar, etc. This makes it a potential therapeutic approach for anybody suffering with type 2 diabetes or insulin resistance.

This will also go a long way towards that decreased appetite mentioned above – with improved blood sugar control and insulin sensitivity, you will likely experience far fewer, far less drastic hunger pangs and energy crashes.

Ketosis has also been studied for its potential neuroprotective effects. Some research suggests that ketones may provide an alternative fuel source for the brain, potentially offering benefits for neurological conditions such as epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease, and Parkinson’s disease.

While more research is needed in this area, plenty of ketosis advocates report improvements in cognitive function and mental clarity while in ketosis.

How can keto gummies help?

Keto gummies

Keto gummies are designed to take you into ketosis faster, more ably, with fewer, less ruinous side effects.

Best-case scenario, they help you to circumvent keto flu entirely. More likely, they’ll just make symptoms far more manageable, and will get you through the keto flu stage in a few days, rather than a couple of weeks.

They are also generally great sources of healthy fat. This is often a challenge on the keto diet – you need a lot of fat, with around 30-40% of your total calories coming from it, which is a tough ask.

Keto gummies are often made with ingredients such as coconut oil, MCT oil, and grass-fed gelatin, which are rich in medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) and saturated fats.

These fats are essential for anybody following a ketogenic diet as they represent a very readily available source of energy when carbohydrates are restricted. By including keto gummies in your diet, you can easily bolster your fat intake without resorting to less healthy options, getting quality for actually quite a reasonable price.

These fats will also hopefully help you to get into ketosis a little faster, reducing those symptoms we’ve talked about. By giving your body a readily available source of fat, you should have plenty of energy to power through the worst of it – fatigue and brain fog in particular should both really ease up when you use keto gummies.

As you would imagine, they are also pretty pure. That is, they’re low in – or more often even free from – carbohydrates.

This is no mean feat – it’s tough to make nice-tasting gummies without loading them with sugar, after all, like traditional gummies and sweets are. Nevertheless, they are tasty, and represent a really nice little treat or on-the-go snack – they’re basically keto-friendly jelly babies.

This will, of course, make the whole diet easier to stick to. We’re all human, after all, and need some kind of sweet-tasting treat now and then.

So what do you get with keto gummies, then? In short, healthy fats, there to give you more energy, making it easier and faster for you to get into ketosis, undoing much of the short-term damage inflicted by ‘keto flu’, and, honestly, standing in as pretty decent sweets for when you want a bit of a treat.
