Alpilean is a decent thermogenic fat burner. It will do what you want it to do, supporting your weight loss efforts in several ways whilst undoing many of the side effects associated with running a restricted eating plan geared towards fat loss.

I have tried it myself to great effect – I enjoyed plenty of benefits, had a better-than-usual cut, and came out the other end of a six-week ongoing calorie deficit far happier and healthier than I might otherwise be.

Of course, there is plenty of competition. It exists in a very crowded marketplace – a marketplace with some incredibly good products sitting at the top. So, if I hedge, that’s the only reason.

I was doubtful when I first came across it – how on Earth could it stand up for itself against the likes of PhenQ and its ilk?

And I was pleasantly surprised.

Quick Verdict: Alpilean

Alpilean is a very good product.

In fact, it kind of aligns with heavy hitters like PhenQ, giving you all the thermogenic and dietary support that you need whilst also helping you to overcome one of the worst side effects associated with restricted eating – brain fog!

I get brain fog pretty much every time I follow a cut, which is why I often turn to nootropics. Or, better yet, to products like PhenQ which act as both a diet aid and nootropic.

With Alpilean, I’ve got another dietary and nootropic tool that I will likely call on time and time again in the coming years.

What is Alpilean?

Alpilean is a thermogenic fat burning supplement designed to support weight loss by increasing calorie burn even at rest.

It achieves this also whilst also working to increase energy levels, suppress the appetite, and undo many of the harsh side effects associated with running a calorie deficit.

It’s made by Health Research Solutions, LLC, which is a bit of a red flag to me (I hate any name that promises ‘solutions’, and no, this isn’t a health product.) But actually, they’ve brought out something pretty special, here.

Note, that extra calorie burn – the heightened thermogenesis at play – is always slight, no matter how good the supplement you’re using.

Even top-tier ones will get you burning something like an extra 50-100 calories per day if you’re lucky.

Coupled with an already significant calorie deficit (500 or so should see you right), this can be quite good. Coupled with poor nutrition and a sedentary lifestyle, these extra calories will do nothing for you.

Rather, it’s the secondary benefits offered by thermogenic fat burners that I think do the most. They help to undo many of the side effects of running that calorie deficit, including curbing hunger pangs and reducing cravings, dulling anxiety, boosting your energy levels, and so on.

These can make or break your diet, making success easier, your efforts more fruitful, and the emotional toll of running your deficit far easier to bear even as you’re able to live a more active lifestyle.

In theory, it’s all good stuff. And it really is, when done right. I’ve used thermogenic fat burners myself to great effect. Big names like PhenQ and its kin always get me excited – I’ve had some tremendous results on them in the past.

And Alpilean sort of came in clutch, delivering everything I wanted it to.

The benefits of using Alpilean

Alpilean comes with some great benefit – you should get a fair amount out of using it in conjunction with a solid calorie deficit and a good, active lifestyle. As far as I can tell, Alpilean addresses three key areas to support your weight loss journey, all of which stack up to be quite profound.

First and foremost, it acts as a thermogenic fat burner, working to enhance thermogenesis when taken. This means your body may burn approximately 50-100 extra calories per day, equivalent to 10-to-20 percent of your overall calorie deficit.

It’s important to note that Alpilean is not a substitute for lifestyle and dietary modifications. Again, you need to get everything else right before any kind of ‘weight loss’ supplement will show you any kind of benefits. To see results, you need to stick to a calorie deficit strategy, typically involving a daily reduction of around 500 calories, leading to a sustainable weight loss of about one pound per week for most.

Maintaining a calorie deficit can sometimes impair your metabolism, however, as your body compensates for lower calorie intake by simply using fewer calories naturally throughout your day. This will hinder any weight loss progression you want to make.

This is where a decent thermogenic fat burner can come into its own – it can help in part to counteract this effect, optimizing your metabolism and maximizing the benefits of your calorie deficit. Its natural ingredients are specifically chosen to promote enhanced thermogenesis.

Moreover, Alpilean provides a substantial energy boost. It’s very common throughout a calorie deficit to run into feelings of fatigue, sluggishness, and brain fog. Alpilean can cut through this all, including offering some pretty decent nootropic benefits, proving itself a valuable asset in keeping up your willpower, productivity, and overall activity levels during your weight loss journey.

Additionally, certain ingredients in Alpilean have been shown to help stabilize blood sugar levels and suppress appetite, which should go a long way towards mitigating hunger pangs and cravings.

This is where I often fall down. Other supplements have done more for me – I have always experienced very, very few cravings and so on when using PhenQ. Alpilean was less impressive, though the benefits were still there.

And, by addressing appetite control, metabolic enhancement, energy and mental clarity, Alpilean effectively combats some of the major challenges often facing us during weight loss efforts, making the journey more manageable, more effective, and far less draining.

Everything in the ingredients list is completely natural, as you should expect of this kind of supplement, and all are dosed well and enjoy some robust clinical underpinning, which isn’t always a given in the modern supplement market.

What are the ingredients in Alpilean?

Alpilean’s ingredients list contains a mix of well-known and lesser-known substances, all of which are thought to offer various benefits for weight management and metabolic function.

This funny little list begins with Fucoxanthin, a chemical found in edible seaweeds such as wakame and brown algae. I’ve never come across it before and was pleasantly surprised as I looked into it. It’s one of the best antioxidants out there.

Fucoxanthin has shown promise in improving insulin response and regulating fat cells. Several studies have suggested that Fucoxanthin could potentially benefit those suffering with insulin resistance. By improving insulin sensitivity, the body may be better equipped to burn sugar for energy instead of storing it as fat.

Additionally, it has been found to have anti-inflammatory and anti-obesity effects in animal studies.

All of this comes together nicely to represent a good tool for weight loss – you should suffer fewer and less intense hunger pangs with your insulin sensitivity under control, and should expect to see some better body composition results as you follow your weight loss diet.

Dika Nut, also known as African Mango Seed, has shown positive results in clinical trials, with studies suggesting that it may help to inhibit fat cell growth. This is thought to be down to soluble fiber, which can increase feelings of fullness, reduce calorie intake, and promote weight loss. It may also have an effect on certain enzymes involved in fat metabolism.

More research is needed to confirm these findings and establish the optimal dosage for weight management, though it’s nice to see. I was disappointed not to see them go straight for glucomannan – it’s a genuinely brilliant fiber that will bolster digestive health whilst also increasing feelings of satiety. That being said, Dika Nut seems promising, like a genuinely viable alternative.

Drumstick Tree Leaf, also known as Moringa leaf, is a lesser-known ingredient that has shown promising results in animal studies. It has proven effective in reducing weight gain and fat accumulation in rats fed a high-fat diet.

These effects may be attributed to the presence of bioactive compounds, including polyphenols and flavonoids, which have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

The leaf extract has also been found to reduce lipid levels and improve glucose tolerance in animal models. If this theory extends to human participants (which is admittedly a bit of a big ‘if’), then Moringa Leaf very much deserves its place in this list.

You also get plenty of bitter Orange in Alpilean, which may at first sound a little daft. However, whilst most people associate the health benefits of citrus fruits with their high vitamin C content, bitter oranges like Bigarade Orange have been found to have additional potential for promoting fat burning through thermogenesis.

Bitter oranges contain a compound called synephrine, which has been shown to stimulate thermogenesis and increase energy expenditure. Several studies have found that bitter orange extract can enhance fat oxidation and promote weight loss.

It’s a funny one, though – you would generally expect a manufacturer to simply reach for incredibly potent capsaicin (from cayenne pepper) and call it a day.

Ginger Root is a potentially good inclusion in this list. It’s a well-known ingredient used in both cooking (it’s one of my go-to ingredients of choice, in everything from shots and smoothies to curries) and certain forms of traditional medicine. It may have some potential to aid in weight management.

Human clinical trials have shown that Ginger Root can decrease appetite and increase thermogenesis, leading to everything we want from supplements like Alpilean. It is thought that some of ginger’s active compounds, including the likes of gingerol and shogaol, may sit behind these effects.

Ginger can also help to reduce inflammation and improve digestion, which may further support weight management efforts. I personally drink home-made ginger shots most days (lots of raw ginger, apple juice as a carrier, and a squeeze of lemon juice, blended then strained) to dim down acid reflux.

Turmeric is having a moment – it’s one of the major current hypes in modern supplement circles. Much of the purported benefit comes courtesy of curcumin, which has been found to improve insulin resistance and increase thermogenesis, leading potentially to enhanced fat burning and appetite control.

Populations with high consumption of turmeric have traditionally enjoyed lower obesity rates and body fat – though, of course, correlation and causation are far from the same thing.

I often like to see Chromium in supplements – it often shows up in decent natural testosterone boosters, though it may also play a role in weight management. It’s a trace mineral found naturally in many organic compounds that has been associated with anti-obesity mechanisms.

Chromium is also believed to influence thermogenesis – supplementing with chromium has been shown to improve insulin sensitivity and glucose metabolism, which can go a long way towards helping out your weight loss efforts. Some studies suggest that it may help regulate appetite and reduce food cravings.

Finally, you get a good dose of Vitamin B12, also known as cobalamin, with Alpilean. It’s important for various of our bodily functions, including body temperature regulation and nutrient metabolism – it plays a part in protein, fat, and carbohydrate metabolism.

In addition, vitamin B12 deficiency has been linked to fatigue and low energy levels, which can impact athletic performance and thus potentially decrease calorie expenditure – though likely not overall expenditure, just that burned during exercise.

Compensatory effects within the body will often negate a lot of exercise induced calorie burn, so this might not be such a big deal. Remember, it is always diet, not exercise, that leads to weight loss, after all.

Adequate levels of vitamin B12 are essential for maintaining a healthy metabolism, but its supplementation alone is unlikely to have a significant impact on weight management.

These are solid enough ingredients. On paper, they sound like they should do a lot. And, honestly, having tried Alpilean… I was impressed. It did everything I wanted it to. My results were better than they would have been without any kind of thermogenic fat burner. They were also far easier to come by – fewer hunger pangs, much diminished brain fog, far more energy, better performance in the gym… it was all there.

These natural ingredients may provide additional health benefits, aside from supporting your dieting attempts, though of course we’re only really here for weight loss. However, it is far from the only game in town.

In fact, there are supplements out there that arguably do a bit of a better job (though, honestly, you’d have to try it all out for yourself to see what works for you). I’ve always had a good time running PhenQ alongside my calorie deficit and an active lifestyle.

PhenQ gives you everything you would want and expect of a good thermogenic fat burner. You get a small thermogenic boost, meaning an uptick in your natural daily energy expenditure of up to 100 calories.

Again, this isn’t much, and it won’t do anything for you if you don’t have your diet and lifestyle in check. However, with your ducks in a row, it’s a nice little bonus, and it may just be the perfect thing to overcome the kind of stalled metabolism so often induced by running a restricted eating plan.

It will also help to mitigate the kinds of cravings and hunger pangs that generally accompany – and can derail – a solid restricted eating plan and calorie deficit, and will help you to keep your energy levels nice and high. In short, it should do everything that Alpilean promises to do.

However, whilst a lot of products can bring these benefits – they should be potent and efficient as they help you on your diet – few do it quite like PhenQ. Its formula is solid – it makes use of some of the best-quality, best-studied ingredients going, all well-dosed for the results you want.

PhenQ goes further, though. It’s also an impressive nootropic. This may sound a little unfocused – why combine two different types of supplement rather than doing one type as well as you can?

Well, two things. Firstly, PhenQ does its primary focus incredibly well. It’s amongst the best thermogenic fat burners out there, so there should be no griping about it taking on a secondary one.

Secondly, nootropic support makes a lot of sense. It’s very common to experience brain fog and lethargy when dieting, as well as a fair amount of anxiety (both caused by your diet and threatening to derail it). Nootropics can undo much of this.

PhenQ can undo much of this. It’s what I would go for if I had the choice… except that now that choice is a lot harder to make. Though PhenQ is terrific, having now tried Alpilean… well, I don’t know. All I can say is that there is a new player in town, a welcome newcomer to my supplement store.


Alpilean is a very good product that promises to give you a fair amount of support on your weight loss journey. Couple it with a modest to good calorie deficit, live an active lifestyle, and look after yourself, and you’ll probably see some very good results.

It’s a very good thermogenic fat burner that I got some really good results from using. I would usually expect to lose around 4-5 pounds over six weeks, the way I structure my cut – with Alpilean, as with any decent thermogenic, this moved up to 6 pounds. It’s very welcome.

It’s the other benefits that come in clutch. It’s the fact that you also get a great appetite suppressant, improved energy levels, and far, far greater mental clarity, that really make this kind of supplement work when done well. And Alpilean is done well. I enjoyed taking it immensely.
